I'm a Teaching Fellow in Journalism at the University of Sussex, where I spend three days a week, and an Associate Lecturer at the London College of Communication. I've also worked as a graduate teacher at the LSE, a Lecturer at Kingston University, and am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. I've lectured and held workshops on a variety of subjects in media and communications, and also supervised MA students.
I'm also a PhD student in the Department of Media & Communications at the LSE under the supervision of Professor Myria Georgiou and Dr Shani Orgad. My research currently investigates how participatory media projects challenge entrenched inequalities of representation among migrant and diaspora groups in the transnational public sphere. A series of workshops in Cardiff and Gateshead is supported by the LSE Knowledge Exchange & Impact Fund.
